What do the star ratings on each review mean?

Flavor: This determines how much we liked the flavor, and how if we thought there was too much, or too little, flavor. The higher, the better.

Crunch: The more stars in this rating, the crunchier the chip is.

Greasiness: Nobody likes having greasy fingers. The more stars in this rating, the more grease will be left on your fingers.

Heat: For some special chips, there is a heat rating. The more stars here, the hotter the spices on the chip are.

Overall: This rating determines how much we enjoyed the chip as a whole.

What are those stars underneath the chip rating box for?

We are hoping this website to be a community of chip lovers. As such, we want feedback from you all! Those stars give you a chance to give your personal feedback on the chip! If you've tried the chip, just log in and select your personal overall rating on it (out of 10). That rating will then take into account everyone who has reviewed the chip, and will show you the community's personal feelings towards it!

What is the difference between a potato chip and a potato crisp?

A chip is sliced potato and a crisp is dehydrated potato. More specifically, to create a potato chip, you create a thin slice of potato before cooking it. This is the traditional chip that you are used to eating, out of a bag. A potato crisp on the other hand is made from dehydrated potato, pressed into a constant shape, before cooking it. The most common example of this is the Pringle and Lays Stax, although there are other examples, as you will see.
